Back-To-School

Oi! This past week has been the first week of Portuguese school! We didn't have much of a break because we were studying Portuguese, but it was still good. We have 11 subjects in our school! Math, Portuguese (their grammar), English, French, Computer, Natural Science (don't ask), Special Portuguese, History/Geography, Art, Moral Education, and Music. On Thursday we had a party for math because it was the 100th lesson (our second). I'm in a class with the Harrells' daughter and Ben. In most schools you write in pencil, right? Well in our school we write with red, blue, and black pens. You can probably tell I'm not used to this, as I have many white-out marks in my notebooks! My morning routine goes something like this:

1. Wake up at seven o'clock
2. Read bible
3. Eat breakfast
4. Get dressed in play clothes
5. Have tutoring time with irma (sister) Teresa
6. Go to history at the Harrells' house
7. Come back and have lunch
8. Get uniforms on
9. Get packed up and go to school

Usually, there are playdates every day from 2:00-5:00, but we can't go to any of them because we have school! Also, school goes from 12:30 to 5:25. This week has felt like a year! Imagine what a term will feel like... (Sorry I'm getting shivers just thinking about it!) I know you all have been praying for us, and we have felt your prayers. School is actually not that bad. Tabitha, Ben, the Harrells' children (except for one), and I go to one school. Judah and Asher go to an escolinha (preschool). Thanks for the prayers! Tchau!
