Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! I hope you guys had an amazing 2019, and I hope you have an amazing 2020! It’s crazy how one year takes forever when you’re in the middle of it, but as soon as it’s over it seems like it went by really fast! I decided to combine my December and January post because there wasn’t a lot that happened in either month. Well, a lot happened, but most of it was between the months.
First of all, Merry Christmas! I hope you had an amazing Christmas, and I posted a song on my YouTube channel about Christmas here in Mozambique/Africa, which I’ll talk more about later. We were able to start Christmas with presents and a delicious breakfast with our friend Laura. I am so thankful to the Lord for all of the presents I got, and I hope my family liked my homemade gifts πŸ˜‚. We pretty much just chilled Christmas day, but that night we started our trip to South Africa.
The trip took about four days, and I have to admit, it wasn’t always fun. But it was definitely worth being able to see my friends at mk camp! I turned twelve this year, in case you guys didn’t know, and so this year I was able to go to missionary kid camp! The worship was really meaningful, and so were the discussions we had. But we also had tons of fun playing games! I loved seeing all of my friends, and I definitely can’t wait until mk camp this year to see them again! We were separated into teams, and the team at the end of camp with the most points got to take home a camp champ t-shirt. Sadly, my team (The Green Flame), came in fourth place, but Tabby’s team won for the second year in a row! Mk camp was definitely the highlight of the year for me.
At mk camp we had a New Year’s party. The theme was the 80’s, so that was a ton of fun to dress up for! We stayed up until New Years and counted down. After we counted down the final 10 seconds, we all jumped into the pool! It was freezing, but awesome πŸ˜‚.
After mk camp, we stayed at the guest house for a couple of days, and we were able to spend our Christmas money by going shopping. We started our trip back to Pemba on Tuesday, the seventh of January, and got back on Sunday the twelfth.
Tabby turned 16! It's crazy! Tabby is so beautiful and funny, she's an amazing sister, and I hope she has a great 16th year! To celebrate we went to Gold Reef City (an amusement park in South Africa) with my best friend (name reveal) Janna Kate and her brother Micah. It was a lot of fun!
The first day of school for us was Monday the 13th, but that day we only did a meet and greet. We actually started school on Tuesday the 14th, had a holiday on the 15th, then returned to school the 16th. Right now we are getting ready to start our fourth week of school.
Last Sunday (the 26th) we had our church's anniversary celebration. We sang and danced and shared food and drinks. It was tiring! But it was a really nice celebration.
One more thing I wanted to add is that I started a YouTube channel! If you didn’t know, I enjoy writing songs and singing, so my dad and I started a YouTube channel where I will be posting original songs and covers. You can see it here.
Also, in case you didn’t know, I enjoy writing stories and am currently working on a book. In the future I may post updates about it and occasionally snippets of it, so stay tuned for that!
I think that’s all guys! I am so thankful for all of the things I received for Christmas, and for the amazing year I had in 2019. I hope you have an amazing 2020. Remember, God is always with you, no matter what.
            Love, Gracie :)

Christmas morning!

Having a delicious Christmas breakfast!

The New Years Party at mk camp! It was AWESOME! The theme was 80's, and I think we rocked it πŸ˜‚

At Gold Reef City with Janna and Micah!

At GRC we got henna, which is basically a type of temporary tattoo.

Don't judge πŸ˜‚

On our way back to Pemba!
