Self-Care 101

Image
Hey guys! So, I'm pretty sure at this point we all have a lot of time on our hands. It's funny...before when we were busy we wanted more time. And now that we have all the time in the world? We have no clue what to do with it. Is that just me? Anyhoo, one of the things I've really been trying to work on recently is keeping up with self-care. Now we have a lot more time to take time for ourselves, it's the perfect time to work on self-care. Self-care looks like different things for different people. For some, it means working out. Others, it means having a pamper/spa day or sitting in bed all day, vibing with some chill music and a good book. Today I want to give you guys some ideas for self-care. I hope you get some inspiration!  1. Have a Pamper/Spa Day I wanted to kick off this list with one of my favorite things: having a pamper/spa day. These are so relaxing and chill, they're great to have. Some things you can do: face/hair masks, lip/body scrubs...

13 Things I've Learned

Image
Hey y'all! As you may or may not know, my birthday recently passed on the 12th of April, coincidently Easter. I'm 13 now, and it's insane. I started this blog in September 2017, when I was 10 years old. It's almost been 3 years! There have been some (tons of) inconsistencies, procrastinating, and terrible writing (I know). But here we are! Thanks for all of y'all's support and love, it means the world :) Anyhoo, in my bullet journal I decided for April I would create a "13" page. I wrote down one wish I had for this year, things I wanted to do before I turned 14, and 13 things I've learned. I think it's a really good exercise to do for your birthday, even if you don't have a bullet journal. It reminds you of important things and helps you to set your goals for being the next age. Today I wanted to talk to you guys about 13 things I've learned in my life (that I actually wrote in my bullet journal), and maybe you've learned the...

Interview With Katelynn from Katelynn's Corner

Image
Hey guys! So today I'm doing something a little different and I'm going to be interviewing one of my friends from online school. Her name is Katelynn, and it's been great getting to know her and having her as a friend. I will be linking her blog down below, so you should definitely check it out! I hope this interview gives you some different/more insight on what it's like to be a TCK (third culture kid). S o Katelynn, tell me a little bit about yourself. Where you live, where you're from, some of your hobbies, and anything else you want to say about yourself. Hello! I'm Katelynn and I'm thirteen years old. I live in Russia, although I was born in Texas and lived there for my first nine years of life. I love to read, write (I have a blog, a novel in progress, and some short stories), make slime, and play the piano. And I'm also super glad I can do this "collab" post with Gracie :D Nice! Haha, I'm glad I can have you here. ^-^ You guy...

March Update!

Image
Hey y'all! So things have gotten a bit crazy since February. This post may be pretty long, but I guess we'll have to see haha. So...let's get right into it! First of all, there's COVID-19. I hate bringing up this topic, because it's all anyone ever talks about these days, but I can't ignore it like it's not happening. Because, I mean, we all know it is. Things have gotten so much bigger since February. It's honestly insane. My most recent blog post talks about trusting God through all of this, make sure to check it out  here . All we can do at this point is pray about it and trust God that through it all, he has a plan and a purpose for it. I don't want to give an opinion at this point because I don't know everything about it, but I just want to say stay safe and trust God. My blog has gotten a few changes, as you may or may not have noticed. 1, I changed the main font, background, and color scheme. I prefer this font, color scheme, and backg...

In All the Unknowns

Almost everyday something happens that we don't expect. It could catch us totally off guard and change our day completely, or it we could just roll with it. Maybe it's something simple like falling or a quick change of plans. Those things might catch us off guard, but we roll with them. Some things though, are harder to get back up with. We don't understand why they happen, and it can take days, weeks, months, or even years sometimes to get back to normal. It could be losing a loved one, getting a serious injury, or facing a big change. Take for example, this virus that has spread all over the globe. I remember back in January, at our school we looked it up, and a lot of sources—including our school—said it was fake news. And that seemed easy to believe, it wasn't as bad then. And somehow, just a couple of months or even weeks later, things exploded. It spread to the States, and Europe, and Africa. Big events like the NBA were cancelled, and eventually schools ...
