Introducing The New (Not Really) and Improved (Sort Of) Angoche!!
You may be confused when about the title, so let me explain. But first, welcome back! Thank you to all of my readers who check on my blog every once in a while, or have even subscribed! I just recently added a subscription button, so make sure you click that to get an email notification every time I post! Wow, that sounds a lot like a youtube video intro...
Anywho, about the title: so, as you may or may not know, my parents lived in Angoche, Mozambique back in 2004, before they had kids. When we went there, we were wondering just how much Angoche would have developed since they were last there. So we traveled about five hours to get there, and realized that, contrary to our thoughts, Angoche hadn't changed that much. Sure, it had some progress and changes going on, but just not like we were expecting. In fact, my parents said that most of it was pretty much the same as they remembered. We had lunch on a hilltop where you could see the city. It had a great view! And apparently, my mom and dad used to have dates/picnics there (yuck)! But we saw my parents old house worker named Asani (a-sa-nee). You may be thinking Oh, that must have been so nice! A family road trip to an old home, bringing back sweet memories! Well, let me describe the ride to you. The roads were VERY bumpy. And though we spent about two hours there, we drove for about 10 hours in total to get there and back. Of course, we still had a good time. It's just that getting there wasn't the most pleasant experience. I won't be able to include many pictures this time. I know last time I couldn't either. I don't know why it won't let me AirDrop the photos that I want to this computer from my mom's phone. And when I try, they take forever. Anyone have any suggestions?? Please comment below if you know what to do! Tchau!

This is the only pic I am going to be able to post. These Mozambicans are a part of another mission organization. We visited them when we were in Angoche. |
