September/October Update; Happy Halloween!
Hey guys! Sorry for the late post, like usual. 😂😅I need to clarify something though, in case you’re confused. At one point I was going to start posting weekly, but now things are so busy with school and everything that I just don’t have the time to do that. So, now I will be trying to post as often as possible, but hopefully at least once a month. This post is for September/October, so you can look for my November post sometime in the near future or early December, and maybe a post before then.
Anywho, sorry for all of the inconsistency. We’ve just been really busy! Honestly, we just got back into a routine last week. But don’t worry, I’ll make up for it. :)
To start it off, we finished the first half of the last term! Woohoo! I honestly can’t believe that next week is the last week of school! The last day of school is the 30th, and on the 30th is my grade’s graduation. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but at our school we have primary (Kindergarten-6th) and Secondary (7th-10th). So this year I am graduating Primary! Next week we have our last exams. Actually, they start Friday (tomorrow the 8th) and continue until the 19th. Studying, here I come! I am so nervous; you have no idea! 😰😬It’s insane how short this year has felt!!
Okay, now I have some bad news. Remember the café I was telling you guys about last post? Unfortunately, they didn’t get enough business, so they had to shut down. It’s so sad! 😢They’re not sure if they’ll be able to open back up again. So please keep the Liberty Project in your prayers, as I’m not sure if they know how they’ll move forward from here.
On a much happier note, we had a meeting in Kenya! I was able to see some friends there, and the weather was AWESOME compared to the hot, humid weather here in Mozambique. I also got my hair cut! We also were able to go to an elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary. It was nice touring Nairobi, but it is nice to be home.
Happy Halloween! At our school last Friday we had a thing where we dressed up and we just hung out. I literally had NO costume ideas or costumes, so I took my cat ears from Claire's, drew a cat nose and whiskers with makeup, and wore all black. Ta da! And I was a ... wait for it ... a cat! 😄
I can't wait for Thanksgiving, which we are definitely celebrating, no matter what country we're in! We get to celebrate with (codename) Joy's family on the 30th of November, because they can't come on the 28th. My favorite part? The food. And seeing Joy of course. And giving thanks to God for awesome friends and family. There's so much to love about Thanksgiving! I'm definitely looking forward to it. :)
And now for the moment you've been waiting for ... pictures!

Yep, I got to feed a giraffe. Their tongues are pretty disgusting, but they're so cool! |

Looks harmless enough ...until you are informed that it is crocodile. I also had ostrich. 😂 |
Okay, this requires a little explanation. 😂 Haha, okay, you CAN laugh. My older sister, brother, and I played a basketball game against my dad by 1's until 11. We made a deal, so that if we won, he would buy us Coldstone Creamery ice cream. If he won, we had to eat the weird meats at the Brazilian restaurant we went to for dinner. As you can tell, we ... um ... lost. 😂 Back to the pictures....

Some of my awesome mk friends! We went bowling! |

Right near the place we had the meeting there were these beautiful tea plantations! We went there for prayer walking; it was really nice. |

Okay this is pretty irrelevant, but as we were traveling to the airport to come back home, we saw this sign. Lol, what???? Since we're from OKC, we had to take a pic. I mean, come on. 😂 |

On the last day of the meeting, the younger kids and youth showed the parents a dance. Ever heard of the "Church Clap"? That's where we came in. :) |
So yeah, that's pretty much it! Like I said, I will be posting later this month for a November update. I know I don't have that many readers, but t one of my good MK friends has a blog! You guys should definitely check it out at goodstorylili.wordpress.com. She writes some pretty awesome stories! Anywho, thanks for stopping by!
Love, Gracie :)
P.S. Am I the only 12/13-yr-old girl listening to "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys? Haha, I love listening to old music! That was random. 😂 Okay, now I'm done. :)
Sounds like you had an awesome time! Wish I could have come.😂Love you, Gracie!
